Buddy Cianci

"Buddy" Cianci was born in Cranston, Rhode Island (1941). He was a former mayor of Providence, twice from 1975- 1984 and again from 1991- 2002. He loved Providence and was widely responsible for its rebuilding and reimaging the capital city. He lay in state for two days after his death in 2016, where thousands went to pay their respects.
